Our instructors’ main goal is to provide students with quality instruction that is accompanied by positivity, fun, and learning.
FACULTY
Patty Padula
Miss Patty has been teaching all phases of dance for over 25 years from pre-school age to adults. She has attended numerous dance conventions in New York City, New Jersey, Baltimore, Washington, Virginia and Las Vegas. She has taken students to dance conventions as well as many competitions such as: Dance Olympus/ Dance America, Tremaine, International Teachers of Dance, Inc., Dance Educators of America, On Stage of America, Dance Xplosion, Ticket To Broadway, Turn It Up Dance Challenge, The Broadway Dance Center, Bravo and All American Talent. Her competitions teams won many first place, diamond, and high platinum trophies for their exciting dance routines as well as special acknowledgments… for example: The Standing Ovation Award, Outstanding Performance and recently were the winners of the “Battle for the Championship” at the 2018 Nationals in Cape May, NJ.
They have tapped with the “Tap Yourself Silly” group & FanTAPulous production in Philadelphia’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Miss Patty choreographed an exciting 5 minute jazz production featuring her students from age 10 to 18 where they had the opportunity to perform at a 76ers Game as well as the Philadelphia Wings Game, both at the Wachovia Center and also at a Phillies Game at Citizens Bank Park.
Miss Patty has choreographed for local school shows, coached CYO cheerleading for 11 years, coached with the Keystone Comets All Star Cheerleaders and was the Creative Movement Teacher at Creation Corner Pre-School for the Arts located in Broomall for over 10 years. Her students are happy to participate/ dance every year in “Dancing For Life” which is a benefit show to raise money for the Leukemia/ Lymphoma Society. They have also danced in the DelAWAREness showcase which is a show to help raise money for children with autism. Miss Patty is happy and very very proud for her former students who have gone on to professional careers in dance.
Miss Patty’s exciting adventure was the opening of Miss Patty’s All Star Dance Center in September 2007. With this new beginning and her love of working with children, she teaches her mother’s motto: “don’t wish upon a star… reach for one.”
Jessica fox dickinson
Jessica studied under the direction of Miss Patty. Has attended many workshops in the Tri-State area, New York and Pittsburgh, including Dance Olympus, Tremaine, International Teachers of Dance Inc. and Dance Makers/ Music Works. Jessica has performed and studied with Neumann University Dance Company “Boogie Knights” and Neumann University Theater Company. Jessica has choreographed for Neumann University Theater Company. She is thrilled to be teaching at All Star Dance Center.
Katie Webb
Miss Katie has studied ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, modern and hip hop beginning at the age of 2. She has attended various workshops including the International Teachers of Dance Inc in New York. Katie choreographed Seussical Jr. and James and the Giant Peach at Holy Child Academy. She also teaches dance at Holy Child Academy’s summer camp. She started assisting dance classes at Miss Patty’s in high school and has been teaching our youngest students for over 10 years.
Brianna Fox
Brianna studied under the direction of Miss Patty. Has attended workshops in the Tri-State area, New York and Myrtle Beach. Brianna was previously a member of the Philadelphia Spinners Fly Girls Dance Team, has performed with the Neumann University Theater Company and Dance the World in Disney World. Brianna loves her ASDC Family and enjoys sharing her passion for dance with the ASDC students!
Rosa Mykyta-chomsky
Miss Rosa studied ballet, jazz, and modern at Wissahickon Dance Academy. With WDA, she traveled, including one summer studying ballet in Cuba at a program run by El Ballet Nacional de Cuba. She went on to Sarah Lawrence College where, among other things, she studied dance focusing on ballet, modern, and contemporary. She performed both in college productions and in NYC . During her time in college she worked as an assistant for pre-ballet and tap classes as well as a high school special needs movement class. Since moving back home in 2019 she has been teaching ballet and pointe at the Paula Kearney Dance Studio and is excited to transition to an ASDC teacher!
Mandy Lee
Mandy has been dancing since the age of 3. She has taken Jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical and Baton. She turned from student to teacher at Dance Fusion Performance center, where she taught from ages two - adult and continued to take classes as well. She started teaching for Paula Kearny Dance Studio in 2019 and is excited to be teaching for ASDC. Mandy performed as a dancer in “Jesus Christ Super Star” and “Cabaret” with Center Stage Productions and danced in “A Chorus Line” with King of Prussia productions. She was an assistant choreographer for Chichester Middle school for multiple productions and choreographed “The Little Mermaid Jr” for Center Stage Productions. Mandy enjoys teaching and watching her students grow as dancers.
Paula Kearney
Paula owned and operated the Paula Kearney Dance Studio in Delaware Co. for 48 years. Paul was a certified member of Dance Masters of America and attended numerous conventions in New York, Boston, Baltimore, Richmond and Myrtle Beach sponsored by Dance Caravan, Dance Educators of American, Tremaine, Dance Olympus and Dance Makers. Her students have won hundreds of trophies and awards in dance competition. She has choreographed 10 musicals for Academy Park High School, as well as, choreography for the Fralinger String Band. Her students have been on tour in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Ohio for ABC appearing in mall promotions representing Rainbow Brite, Sectaurs, Bugs Bunny, Batman, Scooby Doo, Ewok, the Cabbage Patch Kids and McDonald’s Fun Fit Kids. Former students have gone on to professional careers as dance instructors and studio owners, dancing off Broadway, on Cruise Ships and in Las Vegas. Paula was nominated and appeared in the 1996 edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Sarah Harlan
Sarah Harlan starting dancing at the age of 3 years old at Crane’s Performing Arts Dance School. She has training in different styles of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. Sarah danced competitively at competitions including Encore, Edge Talent, Jump Dance Convention, and Backstage. Sarah also danced on her high school dance team. A few years after graduating Sarah pursed her dream and started teaching dance. She teaches jazz, tap, and hip-hip to children and adults. Sarah loves being a part of the ASDC family!
